About

Streets of London began when Kochan & Partner spotted lettering on a Kensington street sign and worked it into their agency logo. Robert Strauch later digitised the full signage alphabet, tracing it back to stone-cutter David Kindersley's original design, and built out the missing lowercase and characters needed for a complete working font.

Classification

A display serif digitised directly from David Kindersley's hand-cut London street signage lettering, expanded from majuscules-only into a full working font.
