Michael Wörgötter researched Genzsch & Heyse's 1907 Nordische Antiqua during a study semester and built LD Genzsch Antiqua as a digital interpretation that keeps the original punchcutting's inconsistencies rather than tidying them into a uniform interpolated system. Original style names carry over from the metal type: Normal, Halbfett and Fett, plus the narrower Schmalhalbfett and Schmalfett, with Kursiv italics for Normal and Halbfett.
