Algorytm Clear
Interval Type · 2025

A text-optimised grotesque drawn from early American gothic models, offering six weights with italics, Cyrillic support and a generous set of stylistic alternates.
About
Algorytm Clear is the legibility-first member of Interval Type's Algorytm system, designed to serve body text where the display-weight variant steps back. It draws on early American gothics – Times Gothic and Inland Gothic – for its proportions, updated with a systematic approach and an extensive alternate set covering single and double-storey forms across multiple glyphs. Six weights from Extralight to Bold, each with a matching italic, make it broadly usable for editorial work, though its Beta 0.1 status warrants caution in production.
Classification
Text-optimised member of the Algorytm system, rooted in early American gothic models (Times Gothic, Inland Gothic). Neutral grotesque with a generous alternate set: one-storey and two-storey 'a', geometric and standard variants for 'f', 'g', 'r', 't', 'y', 'G', 'I', 'R', and Cyrillic 'К' and 'Ж'. Currently released as Beta 0.1.
