A sturdy, low-contrast contemporary serif by Slovenian designer Mitja Miklavčič, in seven weights across Latin, Cyrillic and Greek.
About
FF Tisa has firm, slab-leaning serifs, open shapes and a generous x-height, so it stays clear at small sizes and on screens, which helped its webfont version catch on quickly. It won a TDC2 award in 2007. Pair it with FF Tisa Sans for brand systems and dense editorial work.
Classification
Contemporary serif with low contrast, a large x-height and sturdy, slab-like serifs, built to hold up in small text and on screen. Seven weights with italics; the Paneuropean version covers Latin, Cyrillic and Greek. Partnered by FF Tisa Sans.
