Verena Gerlach and Ole Schäfer's sans based on East Berlin street signs, from the City Street Type series of 2000.

About

FF Cst Berlin East records the lettering of street signs from the former East Berlin, with the plain, slightly awkward construction of public signage. The Original and Original Round styles stay closest to the signs, while Regular, Medium and Bold are tidied for general use. Good for posters, editorial and identities with an urban, German flavour.

Classification

Part of the City Street Type series, based on the lettering of East Berlin street signs. Regular, Medium and Bold, plus Original and Original Round versions closer to the source signs. FF Cst Berlin West is its companion.
