František Štorm's 2005 Scotch Roman revival, distributed by Storm Type, balances ball terminals and spurred details with a slightly uneven line quality that evokes letterpress printing.

Hercules occupies a specific position within the Scotch genre: it avoids the delicacy of many modern revivals by keeping strokes from tapering too thin and introducing a subtle imperfection in its line quality. Wide bracketed serifs, short descenders and restrained thick-to-thin contrast make it serviceable in long-form text as well as at display sizes. The numerals are a particular strength, with the 4 and the 3 drawing genuine character from the Scotch tradition without tipping into fussiness.
