A squared geometric sans from Fabio Haag Type, drawing on Aldo Novarese's Eurostile (1962) and extending its rectangular forms across eight weights with italic and multiple stylistic alternate sets.
About
Designed by Eduilson Coan with a team including Henrique Beier and Fabio Haag, Versos interprets the Eurostile heritage for contemporary use, offering four stylistic sets that allow letterform variants to be mixed or used independently across applications. The family covers 209 Latin-based languages and includes proportional and tabular figures, fractions, ordinals and a slashed zero. Its OpenType feature set is oriented towards both editorial and display work.
Classification
Versos belongs to the geometric sans tradition, drawing directly on Aldo Novarese's Eurostile (1962) with its characteristic rectangular, squared letterforms. The design retains the optically uniform stroke weight and geometric construction typical of that lineage while extending it with stylistic alternate sets.
