A four-width condensed grotesque display family by Alan Madić, drawn from Walter Käch's 1940s Velos Bold and structured around a modular unit system borrowed from Linofilm phototypesetting mechanics.
About
Each of the four widths — Condensed, Compressed, Extra Compressed and Ultra Compressed — is constructed on a grid governing width, weight and spacing, translating the fixed-pitch logic of early phototype into a deliberate design method. The result carries heightened stroke contrast and a quietly authoritative graphic presence that references both Superstudio's structural utopianism and the rationalist typographic tradition. Alternate glyphs for j, r, t and y extend its expressive range within a rigorously systematic framework.

A purpose-built display grotesque existing exclusively in condensed-to-ultra-compressed widths, derived from Walter Käch's mid-century Velos grotesque and structured around a modular unit system. Its heightened contrast and compressed proportions place it firmly in the display category.
