Neue Metana Next
Dirty Line Studio · Hendra Maulia, Aulia Rahman · 2022

A nine-weight geometric sans from Indonesia's Dirtyline Studio with variable font versions, Cyrillic support and stylistic alternates – technically well-equipped but unremarkable in an already crowded category.
About
Neue Metana Next is a geometric sans-serif built across nine weights with corresponding italics, plus Roman and Italic variable fonts. The 534-glyph set covers 95+ languages including Cyrillic, and OpenType features include discretionary ligatures, swash characters and two stylistic sets that give some room to adjust character. It is competent and versatile for brand and display use, but sits squarely in the middle of the contemporary geometric sans market without staking out distinctive typographic territory.
Classification
Near-monolinear geometric sans with clean, neutral letterforms and a contemporary silhouette. Stylistic alternates and swash characters add some flexibility to an otherwise restrained construction. The "Next" designation marks the expanded version of the original Neue Metana, adding Cyrillic support, 534 glyphs and variable font versions.
