Neue Metana holds a strict geometric construction across nine weights and matching italics, with two stylistic sets and swash alternates giving designers room to control how much character the type carries. Variable Roman and Italic files make it a practical choice for responsive digital work, and the separate Neue Metana Mono companion extends it into interface and coding contexts. The family is broad and competently executed; it sits comfortably in the lifestyle branding space without doing anything to distinguish itself from the many geometric sans-serifs chasing the same brief.

Features two stylistic sets, swash alternates, discretionary and standard ligatures, and ordinals via OpenType. The full family spans nine weights × roman and italic = 18 styles, plus Variable Roman and Variable Italic, totalling 20 fonts. A separate Neue Metana Mono companion exists, and a revised "Next" version has also been released.
