Jim Parkinson's 21-style geometric sans, in the line of Metro, Erbar and Johnston and built for newspaper headlines.
About
After years of drawing narrow custom sans faces for newspapers, Parkinson made Richmond with normal widths and italics, then added condensed weights and a set of ornamented capitals. The Staten Island Advance ran it for headlines while it was still in development. It works anywhere a warm, early-modern geometric is wanted.
Classification
An original geometric sans in the spirit of Dwiggins's Metro, Erbar and Johnston's Underground, with normal-width uprights and italics, condensed weights and ornamented capitals. Drawn with newspaper headlines in mind.
