Originally commissioned by art director Chris Martinez for T Magazine, Pialat has since found a notable second life in Triboro's design of Prince's posthumous memoir The Beautiful Ones. Released through Commercial Type's Vault – a repository of previously unreleased and custom typefaces – it retains the refined character of its editorial origins. Character set coverage spans a broad range of Latin-script languages.
