BM Arbeiter Neue specimen from Biliktu Foundry

A conceptually driven sans-serif in five distinct silhouettes, conceived around the experience of Turkish guest workers in 1960s Germany.

About

BM Arbeiter Neue draws its letterforms from industrial imagery: machinery, pipes and wires. The family spans a practical Text cut and a Mono variant through to Abstrakt, a style intentionally designed to appear illegible, representing German signage as perceived through unfamiliar eyes. The concept is grounded in the history of the Gastarbeiter diaspora, giving the family a specific cultural anchor beyond formal experimentation.

Classification

A sans-serif with industrial character, drawing forms from machinery, pipes and wires. The family spans readable text and display variants through to a near-abstract decorative style, placing it broadly within an industrial or vernacular grotesque tradition.
