About
Commissioned as part of Metabo's brand relaunch, the typeface extends the company's longstanding slab serif identity into a contemporary, digitally capable system. The family covers 120+ languages across Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, with Cyrillic consultancy from Maria Doreuli and Botjo Nikoltchev and Greek consultancy from Gerry Leonidas. The project won a German Design Council award in 2026.
Classification
Described explicitly as a Slab Serif corporate typeface, continuing Metabo's existing slab serif typographic identity from the 1960s into a contemporary variable font family.
