Livermore Script specimen from ATF Collection

An even-textured sign-painting script revival drawn from an early American Type Founders original, offered in a clean cut and two distressed variants that simulate crude printing or weathering.

About

Pronounced slant, restrained swash caps and a consistent rhythmic texture characterise this revival of an ATF advertising script rooted in early 1900s lettering traditions. Two distressed styles – Rough No. 1 and Rough No. 2 – add the appearance of aged or crudely printed surfaces. A stylistic set with alternate ascenders provides a less ornate option for applications requiring a plainer tone.

Classification

A brush/sign-painting style script with a pronounced slant and stencil characteristics, rooted in early 20th-century American advertising lettering traditions and 19th-century sign painting.
