Benton's Alternate Gothic was a staple of 20th-century newspapers, magazines and advertising, valued for its strong display presence in compact settings. ATF's revival retains the tall x-height, low waist and tension-filled letterforms of the original, adding a finely graded weight range from Thin to Black across four widths. The result is 40 fonts suited to headlines and space-constrained layouts across print and digital formats.
