The sober sibling of ARS Region: straighter strokes, round punctuation and ten weights with italics.
About
ARS Regional began as a set of alternates for ARS Region, a tailless a and a classical ampersand among them, which changed the face so much that it became its own typeface. The curves went straight, the punctuation went round and the result reads closer to Univers than to Akzidenz. Ten weights with matching italics and around 1010 glyphs.
Classification
A straighter, more minimal variation of ARS Region: the curved humanist features are replaced with a modern treatment, punctuation is rounded, and the foundry says it sits more at home beside Univers than Akzidenz.
