A precise narrow geometric sans-serif designed for bilingual Hebrew and Latin typesetting, covering Hebrew, Yiddish, Cyrillic and over 230 Latin and Cyrillic languages across eight weights.
About
Ploni Tzar pairs geometric letterforms with a deliberately restrained character, making it functional across multilingual documents without dominating the design. Version 2 added Cyrillic support (designed by Anna Horosh), wide alternates for justified text, a gender feature and expanded Latin coverage. The narrow proportions work equally across Hebrew, Latin and Cyrillic, enabling consistent visual weight in side-by-side multilingual settings.
Classification
A narrow geometric sans-serif designed for bilingual Hebrew-Latin use, with narrow proportions that give it its 'Tzar' (narrow) character. Geometric construction is consistent across all three scripts: Hebrew, Latin and Cyrillic.
