Larva specimen from 6TM Magazine

Larva is a near-illegible all-caps display face by Alex Ortiga, its sharp angular forms drawn from futuristic monolith aesthetics.

About

Designed as a visual rhythm system rather than a reading tool, Larva's 45-glyph uppercase-only set prioritises cadence over clarity. Sharp, angular shapes suit short headline treatments, cover type and experimental graphic work where atmosphere takes precedence over readability. Originally released through HIDE Productions in 2019 and available in OTF via commercial and extended licences.

Classification

All-caps experimental display face with sharp, angular forms inspired by futuristic monoliths. Prioritises visual cadence over legibility. 45-glyph character set, uppercase letters, numbers and basic punctuation only. No alternate weights, widths or italic styles.
