A rigorously modular geometric sans built on a scalable grid with no optical corrections, spanning 44 widths and 5 weights across 445 fonts, earning a TDC67 Certificate of Excellence in 2021.
About
Thomas Huot-Marchand spent over 20 years extending this system to its limits, drawing equally from Bauhaus ideological geometry and the naïve hand-lettering of Spanish garage owners. The deliberate refusal of optical correction makes the typeface simultaneously correct by rule and aberrant in perception, producing forms that are both brutal and playful. Variable font technology delivers the full width spectrum in 11 variable families, including monospaced counterparts.
Classification
Strictly modular geometric construction with no optical corrections, anchored to a scalable grid. The system's extreme width range and zero stroke contrast place it firmly in display territory, drawing on both Bauhaus geometry and vernacular garage signage.
