Released in 2010, Caporal is built on elementary geometric forms yet carries typographic refinements – oldstyle figures and ligatures – more commonly associated with text typefaces. This tension between the utilitarian stencil structure and the considered typographic detail gives the design a distinct character. Roxane Gataud contributed to its development.
