Nobulina
Zarma Type · Azzam Ridhamalik · 2025

Nobulina presses condensed sans letterforms against inktrap-laced strokes and script-like alternates, designed for brutalist posters, editorial headlines and high-contrast branding work.
About
Designed by Azzam Ridhamalik at Zarma Type in Indonesia and released in October 2025, Nobulina sits in deliberate tension between structural rigidity and expressive movement. Two styles – Regular and Inktrap – each bring a different register to that contrast, supported by over 60 discretionary ligatures and stylistic alternates. It suits album covers, campaign visuals, typographic posters and any context where formal opposition is the point.
Classification
Hybrid display typeface pairing condensed sans-serif letterforms with inktrap detailing and script-like alternates. Available in two styles – Regular and Inktrap – with 60+ discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates, and PUA-encoded characters. Condensed proportions are intrinsic to the design; there are no separate width variants. Intentionally experimental, referencing brutalist and industrial aesthetics.
