Lautren inverts conventional script contrast, applying thick horizontals and thin verticals to give familiar letterforms an unexpected, eye-catching quality. Released in 2022 by Azzam Ridhamalik, it includes contextual alternates, stylistic sets, ligatures and swash endings, giving designers considerable range within a single weight. At 70 glyphs it covers basic Latin only, making it best suited to short headline or logotype work rather than extended text.
