YWFT Yoke specimen from YouWorkForThem

A three-style layering display typeface originally published as a vector handset in 2009 and converted to OpenType in 2014, built from stackable typographic components that create abstract colour patterns when combined.

About

YWFT Yoke separates letterforms into individual component layers, allowing two or more styles to be overlaid with contrasting colours for a duotone or multi-tone effect. Over 250 glyphs and OpenType alternates give flexibility within each style. The design originated as a vector handset released by YouWorkForThem in January 2009; that original EPS artwork is included with the font purchase.

Classification

A modular, layerable display typeface constructed from separable typographic components designed to be stacked with colour. Its decorative, handset origins and abstract stem patterns place it firmly in the display category.
