Spur takes its visual cues from branding irons and hand-painted signs of Texas barbecue joints, translating that utilitarian boldness into a structured type family. Nine weights run from Thin to Heavy in both upright and italic cuts, with the Outline subfamily offering a stroke-weight axis that distinguishes it from the solid version. Variable fonts are available for both subfamilies, and OpenType features include small capitals, discretionary ligatures and two stylistic sets.
