VZWO Type · Viktor Zumegen · 2024

A semi-serif display family in two italic weights, sitting at the midpoint of the Choreo Collection's spectrum between ornamental banner and readable text styles.
About
Choreo Display offers Thin and Black italics, each containing 771 glyphs with extensive OpenType support including contextual alternates that enable letter-level variation within single words. It is designed as the transitional register within the five-part Choreo Collection, balancing legibility against texture. The coordinated vertical metrics and italic angles across all Choreo styles allow the families to be mixed freely, even mid-word.
Classification
Classified as display by the foundry itself, with a 'semi-serif' designation indicating a hybrid structure that balances typographic legibility with expressive, textural qualities. The italic-only presentation and dancing, contextual alternates reinforce its display-first character.
