A three-typeface collection by Murathan Biliktu that treats letterforms as visual structures, moving between classical discipline and deliberate perceptual disruption.
About
Vestige2025 comprises three distinct faces: Varak, a variable serif that folds classical structure into unresolved tension; Tavir, a clean functional companion built for typographic rhythm; and Lettrine, an ornamental face drawn from the illuminated initials of manuscript tradition. The collection is framed as a reduction rather than an expansion, each typeface representing a distillation of process and intention. Varak carries a variable axis spanning Light to Bold; Tavir and Lettrine are offered in Regular only.
Classification
A collection of three experimental display typefaces that prioritise visual structure and perceptual engagement over conventional legibility, drawing on classical letterform traditions whilst deliberately unsettling them through tension between sharp and soft forms, ornamental construction and restrained utility.
