Hyper Scrypt specimen from Velvetyne

A reverse stencil display face borrowing the stained-glass method of drawing light through lead, commissioned for an exhibition near Metz cathedral.

About

Hyper Scrypt was commissioned by AAAAA Atelier for the Hyper Chapelle exhibition, and Jérémy Landes built it on the logic of stained glass: holes drawn for light, bordered in black lead, so the letters exist through their counters rather than their strokes. Despite that molten, organic look, a rigorous underlying grid keeps multi-line layouts cleanly aligned.

Classification

Commissioned for the Hyper Chapelle exhibition, borrowing the stained-glass method of drawing light through holes in black lead. Letters are effectively drawn by their counters rather than their strokes, built on a rigorous grid for clean multi-line alignment.
