BBB ReadMe specimen from Typothèque Bye Bye Binary

A humanist sans-serif designed with and for people with cognitive reading differences, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism spectrum conditions, and user-tested through structured research.

About

Drawn by Eugénie Bidaut, Ludi Loiseau and Clara Sambot, BBB ReadMe was developed specifically to address the reading needs of people with cognitive conditions affecting literacy. The typeface was tested via semi-structured interviews with a mixed-age, mixed-gender panel, and corrections were validated by study participants before finalisation. The family also includes a set of pictograms created in partnership with several Brussels cultural institutions, intended to improve wayfinding and comprehension across venues.

Classification

A humanist sans-serif designed for legibility and accessibility, with soft, open forms suited to readers with cognitive differences. Its rounded, inclusive aesthetic places it firmly in the humanist tradition.
