A wide-proportioned display slab serif with long serifs, tall lowercase and asymmetric wave-like terminals that give set text a near-ornamental, pattern-like quality.
About
TT Globs combines historical slab serif structure with wide letter proportions, long ascenders and descenders, and closed glyph forms emphasised by notably tall vertical serifs. Asymmetric, wave-like legs and tails in characters such as Q, R, a, s and g introduce a playful irregularity into the otherwise rigid rhythm. The 2024 update added full Cyrillic support, expanded the character set to 1051 glyphs, and introduced a variable weight axis alongside 33 OpenType features.
Classification
A display slab serif characterised by unusually long horizontal and vertical serifs, wide letter proportions and tall x-height. The asymmetric wave-like terminals and fluid elements in certain glyphs push it firmly into display territory rather than text use.
