A mechanical sans-serif spanning five widths and six weights, originally designed for Russian telecom operator MTS in 2019 and expanded into a 30-style retail family with an unusually granular variable font offering.
About
Designed by Yury Ostromentsky, Ilya Ruderman and CSTM Fonts, the collection ranges from Compact to UltraExtended, covering display and text use cases within a single coherent system. The variable release is structured as 12 separate files – one exhaustive two-axis file and 11 single-axis partials – allowing buyers to purchase only the variability they require. Cyrillic coverage extends to over 45 languages, reflecting CSTM Fonts' long-standing expertise in Cyrillic type design.
Classification
A mechanical sans-serif with semi-closed apertures, spanning an unusually wide range of widths from Compact to UltraExtended. The geometric construction and uniform stroke treatment place it firmly in the mechanical/geometric sans tradition, with a versatility across display and text settings.
