A modular sans-serif reconstructed from stacked basic units, reviving and completing the unfinished logic of Illio Negri's 1978 Nebiolo typeface Modulo.
About
ToSupply rebuilt the alphabet from scratch using stacked elementary modules, deliberately forgoing optical corrections in the tradition of Negri's legibility research at Nebiolo. The result sits within the long lineage of modular letterform experiments running from the Bauhaus through Wim Crouwel, but is intended to function at body-text sizes as well as headline scale. First released in 2020, it takes its name directly from the stacking method used to construct each glyph.
Classification
Built entirely from stacked basic modules without optical corrections, following the tradition of modular alphabets from the Bauhaus and Wim Crouwel. Its skeleton-like construction and deliberate absence of optical adjustment place it firmly in the geometric sans category with a modular, experimental character.
