Dioda's source material is a found artefact – a Radio Shack logo on a cassette tape – which gives it an authenticity that purely invented retro faces often lack. Only a Bold weight is available, reflecting the singular, emphatic character of the original logotype. Its natural territory is headline and short-form display work where that period flavour is the point.
