sans-serifgeometric sans
Kessel 105 Text specimen from Talbot Type

A text-optimised sibling of Kessel 105, sharing its geometric round character but with traditional x-height proportions that make it more economical for continuous setting.

About

Where Kessel 105 is designed for display use with a large x-height and abbreviated ascenders and descenders, Kessel 105 Text restores more conventional proportions to improve space efficiency across long-form documents. The family spans four weights from Light to Heavy, and is intended to pair with Kessel 105 as a display companion or with the slab-serif Kettering 105/205. The geometric, round quality of the lowercase is retained throughout.

Classification

A geometric sans-serif with a characteristically round lowercase, designed for continuous text use. Its more traditional x-height proportions with longer ascenders and descenders distinguish it from the display-oriented Kessel 105, while retaining the same geometric, Bauhaus-influenced character.
