Buffet Script
Sudtipos · Alejandro Paul
scriptAmerican sign-lettering script

A connected sign-painter's script redrawn from Alf Becker's 1941 alphabets for Sign of the Times magazine.
About
Buffet Script digitises calligraphy by Alf Becker, widely regarded as one of the great American sign-lettering artists, whose 1941 alphabet had never before been converted to digital form. Every stroke and curve was redrawn by hand rather than scanned, given the intertwined swashes running through the original.
Classification
Digitised stroke by stroke from Alf Becker's 1941 sign-lettering alphabets rather than drawn fresh, giving it a connected, intertwined structure typical of hand-cut sign scripts.
