Solpera
Storm Type Foundry · Jan Solpera
sans-serifinscriptional humanist sansitalic

A sans that began as sculptural inscriptional capitals, now the Czech National Bank's official font.
About
Solpera fills the gap between Roman and linear alphabets. Its upper case came first, drawn originally for three-dimensional inscriptional use, before a lower case completed it into a working text family now serving as the Czech National Bank's official typeface.
Classification
Named for and attributed to the Czech typographer Jan Solpera, listed among Storm's past collaborators, its capitals began as sculptural inscriptional letterforms later completed with a lower case.
