Antique
Storm Type Foundry · František Štorm
serifbaroque revival display serifitalic

A deliberately rough baroque revival built for catalogue covers and posters rather than body text.
About
Antique revives serious mid-18th-century text types but keeps their letterpress-era imperfections on purpose. Storm's own note calls Moderne suited to big lettering and the other two cuts, Ancienne and the jagged Regent, better at text sizes. All three carry an unruly, hand-set charm that modern grids tend to iron out.
Classification
A deliberately imperfect revival of mid-18th-century baroque Roman types, kept for display and occasional lettering rather than long text.
