A monospaced serif companion to Litteratur Text, sharing its old-style character but adapted for fixed-width use through heavier weight and reduced contrast.
About
Designed by Arve Båtevik, Litteratur Text Mono carries the old-style foundations of Litteratur Text into a fixed-width format, with the denser texture achieved through lower contrast and a slightly heavier weight. Its generous x-height and restrained ascenders and descenders keep it visually harmonious alongside the proportional serif, making it suited to editorial systems requiring both forms. OpenType features include old-style figures, fractions, stylistic alternates and standard ligatures, with broad Latin coverage spanning Western and Northern European scripts.
Classification
A fixed-width serif typeface with old-style foundations, lower contrast and heavier weight relative to its proportional sibling Litteratur Text. Its monospaced construction combined with old-style figures and serif detailing places it firmly in the serif mono category.
