Developed as a companion to Kyle Letendre's lettering workshop materials, Soft Text aims for an approachable tone in instructional contexts where conventional typography can feel forbidding. Version 0.1 includes full Latin Extended language support, small caps, lining and old-style figures, and a handful of ligatures. A bold, an italic and decorative additions are planned for future releases.
Classification
Described as gentle and personable for small text sizes, with design choices that suggest a humanist approach to serif letterforms, prioritising readability and approachability over strict classical structure.
