MegaMegaTypeType
A Latin serif with a broad Western European language range, oldstyle figures, case-sensitive forms and an extensive set of discretionary ligatures.
About
Galonia covers over 25 Latin languages and includes OpenType features typical of a text-focused serif: oldstyle figures, fractions, standard and discretionary ligatures, and case-sensitive forms. The discretionary ligature set is notably large, running to decorative pairs such as AA, CH, OO and ZZ alongside conventional combinations. Currently available in Bold only, the family is suited to display-weight editorial and branding contexts.
Classification
The presence of oldstyle figures, discretionary ligatures and a broad Latin character set points to a text-oriented serif with traditional typographic conventions. Without visible stroke details the proportions and feature set suggest a transitional or humanist serif classification.
