Septima is built around a precise internal logic: each letterform is adjusted to the space it occupies in the glyph window, keeping optical weight consistent while giving every character a strong individual presence. It covers twenty-three Latin languages and six Cyrillic languages, with the Cyrillic developed in collaboration with Roman Gornitsky. BBC News has used it in headline settings, which is a reasonable measure of its legibility under pressure.
