A 12-family collection by David Jonathan Ross purpose-built for code, pairing monospaced, sans and serif variants across four widths with generous spacing, large punctuation and full Cyrillic support.
About
Released in 2014, Input spans 168 styles across mono, sans and serif subfamilies in regular, narrow, condensed and compressed widths, each carrying 14 styles. The collection's generous letter spacing and oversized punctuation are deliberate choices for dense on-screen text, while ten stylistic sets and a slashed zero serve practical coding needs. Cyrillic coverage was developed with the advice of Maria Doreuli, making Input equally suited to Russian and Ukrainian codebases.
Classification
A coding-focused collection spanning monospaced, sans and serif subfamilies across four widths. The mono subfamily is the defining voice of the collection; the sans and serif variants share its proportions and optical logic, making mono the appropriate primary category.
