About
Renotype distils the Latin alphabet to a functional core, with letterforms designed without reference to any specific era or tool. Five styles — Regular, Italic, Mono, Quasitalic and Medieval — expand the family not through weight but through distinct formal registers, from the conventional to the fictionalized. Developed over seven years in collaboration with French foundry 205TF, where it is licensed, the family supports over 200 languages across extended Latin and Greek character sets.
Classification
Low-contrast sans-serif conceived as a formal archetype for the Latin alphabet, designed without reference to any specific epoch or tool. The family expands laterally through five conceptually distinct stylistic registers — Regular, Italic, Mono, Quasitalic and Medieval — rather than a conventional weight axis. Mono variant confirms the grotesque/geometric base construction. OpenType features include case-sensitive forms, discretionary and standard ligatures, tabular figures, slashed zero, ordinals and arrows.
