Kin specimen from Radim Pesko

A single-weight all-caps display face by Radim Pesko, designed over nearly three years in London, with diacritical marks structurally built into each letterform rather than placed as floating components.

About

Kin was designed in London between 2017 and 2020, offering caps and small capitals in a single weight with no italic and no text companion. Its defining characteristic is the treatment of diacritics: each accent is welded directly into the body of the letter, giving the face a unified, dense texture suited to headline settings. It covers Latin script across more than 60 languages and was used in headlines at Le Monde.

Classification

All-caps display typeface — caps and small caps only — in a single weight with no italic. The defining structural decision is that diacritical marks are welded into the body of each letterform rather than floating above or below as separate components. Designed purely for headline use; no text variant exists.
