An ornamented Tuscan with curling, forked terminals and beaded stems, by Ellmer Stefan, one of six Pyte Legacy display faces revived from Pyte's 2016 free font every Monday project.
About
Polymer threads a string of beads down every stem and finishes each one in a curled fork, the look of Victorian circus bills and Figgins specimens. Stylistic sets swap in alternate terminals, plain B and P, an alternate Q and a set of ornaments, with a slashed zero on top. Part of Pyte Legacy, the overhauled pick of the 2016 weekly fonts that won Visuelt Gold in 2017 and made Typographica's Typefaces of 2016.
Classification
A Tuscan display face: forked, curling terminals and bead-like swellings along each stem, after the ornamented Tuscans of the mid-19th century.
