Designed by Ibrahim Hamdi between 2019 and 2025, Khareef balances a geometric backbone with the rhythmic tension of compressed and wide shapes, blending full-rounded forms with more compact glyphs. The Arabic letterforms are rooted in Kufic script tradition, reinterpreted with contemporary sensibilities and stylistic alternates that add personality at heavier weights. Nine static weights are available, alongside a two-axis variable font covering weight and width; language support extends to Arabic, Latin, Kurdish, Persian and Urdu across more than 90 languages.
