MegaMegaTypeType
A contemporary text serif from 2006 built around wedge serifs and restrained italics, designed for sustained reading in magazines, books and essays.
About
Nosta prioritises legibility through balanced proportions, considered letter spacing and predictable letterforms, while the wedge serif gives it a distinctly modern character rather than a traditional one. The italic uses few cursive elements and a modest slant, maintaining flow within running text without drawing undue attention to itself. The OpenType version extends this with broader language support, additional ligatures and a range of numeral styles.
Classification
A contemporary text serif employing wedge serifs rather than bracketed or slab forms, placing it in the modern humanist serif tradition with an emphasis on legibility at text sizes.
