A six-weight slab-serif companion to ParaType's Pragmatica, adding square serifs to the same metrics and proportions as the original sans-serif family.
About
Designed to pair directly with Pragmatica, every style of Pragmatica Slabserif matches its sans-serif counterpart in weight, spacing and proportion, allowing the two families to be used together without conflict. The project originated in sketches made by Vladimir Yefimov in 1988 alongside Pragmatica itself, with Olga Umpeleva later completing the full six-weight family for its 2011 release. The range suits technical documentation, general-interest magazines and display settings in equal measure.
Classification
A square-serfied companion to the Pragmatica sans-serif family, matching it exactly in metrics and proportions. The addition of geometric slab serifs to a neo-grotesque base places it squarely in the geometric slab category.
