A two-weight display face built from circular dots arranged in a grid, evoking perforated tape or early dot-matrix printing.
About
Each letterform is composed entirely of uniform circular dots, giving the impression of characters punched through a sheet or rendered on a low-resolution matrix display. Two weights, Normal and Bold, are available, varying the density of the dot arrangement. Designed at SoftUnion in 1994 by Nikolay Vsesvetsky.
Classification
The specimen shows letterforms constructed entirely from circular dots arranged in a grid, producing a dot-matrix or perforation effect. This places it firmly in the display category with a dot-matrix subcategory.
