A humanist sans-serif companion to the Orbi serif family, coordinated in metrics, proportions and weight across four romans with matching true italics.
About
Designed by Natalia Vasilyeva and released by ParaType in 2011, Orbi Sans extends the Orbi type system with a low-contrast, open humanist sans that shares its companion's elegance and formal clarity. Four weights from Light to Black each carry a true italic, making the family well suited to extended text in books, periodicals and business documents. It functions equally as part of the Orbi superfamily or as a standalone text face.
Classification
A low-contrast humanist sans-serif with open apertures and dynamic letterforms, coordinated in metrics and proportions with the Orbi serif family to function as a companion face.
